Basilicom has implemented the partner store for the pilot markets Austria and the Czech Republic.
Shorter time-to-market and less administrative effort
The launch was a complete success. Fleurop now has a multi-client and multi-market B2B store that can be used to successfully drive forward internationalization and expand the B2B business. Shorter time-to-market: By using the existing infrastructure, it was possible to enter the new markets significantly faster. More efficient localization: Automation and centralization in one system significantly reduced the administrative effort for the new markets and enabled efficient expansion. The cooperation between Fleurop and Basilicom and the use of Pimcore show how an optimized e-commerce strategy and international expansion can promote growth and efficiency in a complex market environment.
Local requirements and regulations: Challenges of international B2B online stores
Fleurop is not only a global flower delivery company with over 50,000 partner florists in 150 countries, but also one of the leading wholesalers for florists' supplies. In addition to the B2C online store, the company successfully operates a closed B2B partner store in Germany. In future, this B2B store will also be the first port of call for florists internationally. To achieve this, the store not only had to be adapted to the local regulations of the new markets, but also meet many special requirements for B2B customers. For example, customers must register in advance with proof of trade and have this verified by the Fleurop team. The product range may only include the local product portfolio and must correspond to local prices. In addition, the product prices may only be displayed to registered customers. In addition, customers must be able to assign roles in the team and access all relevant documents.
Efficient internationalization thanks to automated localization and optimized workflows
As Basilicom had already implemented the Fleurop B2B online store in Germany with Pimcore, it was easy to expand it to meet the new requirements. The pilot markets for the expansion were Austria and the Czech Republic. The existing fulfillment infrastructure was integrated into the new store. The store's portfolio was internationalized and the product range localized. Florists only see the products available to them at local prices. A workflow-supported registration process was implemented to verify commercial customers. New customers can now easily submit all the necessary documents online and be activated by Fleurop. In addition, user administration has been implemented for customers at customer and branch level. You can now assign roles and rights to branches and employees in order to optimize purchasing processes. There is also a self-service document center for managing all relevant documents.
